It's that time of the year again when game designers from around the world and gamers everywhere gather in Los Angeles for what many consider to be the greatest week of the year for video games.
For Metal Gear, this year's E3 was pretty sparse. Instead of the 5 to 20 minute story and gameplay trailers of previous years, Kojima Productions showed the very first footage (about two and a half minutes) of Metal Gear Solid: Rising and revealed Hideo Kojima's latest experiment on the Nintendo 3DS, Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater, The Naked Sample. In addition, there is interview footage of Hideo Kojima talking about the Nintendo 3DS, and attendees were treated to a non-playable demo of MGS3D: The Naked Sample.
Previously, the only media for Rising that gamer's had was what was effectively a single teaser image from E3 2009 and Metal Gear Solid: Rising's leaked box art. This year's E3, however, brings the first footage of the game ever in this 2 and a half minute trailer which opens with a cutscene followed by gameplay.

Information regarding Metal Gear Solid 3D is still very sparse. Many aren't even sure if a full remake is certain or if the project is still just in the conceptual and experimental phase with a more original product soon to follow.
