Gurlukovich Mercenaries

A mercenary unit founded by ex-GRU colonel Sergei Gurlukovich, who recruited soldiers that had nowhere left to go after the collapse of the Soviet Union. They participate in conflicts all over the world, hoping for their country's return to its former military power.

In 2005, the Gurlukovich Mercenaries joined Revolver Ocelot on Shadow Moses Island with a plan to re-establish the Soviet Union, but were thwarted by Liquid Snake's actions. They made another attempt in 2007, seizing the Marines' new manned Metal Gear model, Metal Gear RAY. In 2009, Sergei Gurlukovich's daughter, Olga Gurlukovich, took command of the unit after Sergei's death.
