Night Vision Goggles

Goggles that allow their wearer to see in the dark by electrically amplifying surrounding light picked up by their lenses.

Night-vision goggles were developed by the Germans during World War II. Since they electrically amplify light, they may cause a whiteout when over-amplifying light in bright locations. Furthermore, since they are electrically powered, they require batteries or some other power source.
