Pacemaker

Device that generates electrical stimulation to cause necessary cardiac contractions in an arrhythmic heart. Artificially stimulates the heart muscle. The possibility of malfunction for such reasons as the adverse effects of electromagnetic waves has been brought to light.

Secret Service agent, Richard Ames, who visited Big Shell, was fitted with a pacemaker. Revolver Ocelot triggered Ames' nanomachines into causing his pacemaker to cease functioning.
